About Deirdre (MIACP & MAC)
Hi, I am Deirdre Coyne, a counsellor and psychotherapist working in Galway. I work with Clients suffering with Anxiety, depression, loss, severe trauma, addictive behaviors.
My approach is one from a place of compassion, understanding and support, offering a safe, confidential, non-judgmental environment which is founded in respect, warmth and acceptance. My aim is to support you to feel heard, understood and empowered. I work collaboratively, looking at what best fits your individual needs. I have a firm belief in people’s inherent ability to change and develop and I sincerely want to help and nurture my clients.

- Master of Science in Child and Adolescent Counselling and Psychotherapeutic Skills from Middlesex University
- B.Sc. Honours Degree in Counselling and Psychotherapy from Middlesex University
- Diploma in Counselling and Psychotherapy from PCI College.
- Masters in child and adolescent psychotherapy
- Work with the HSE providing Counsellor Addiction Services within the western region
- Provide psychological services in public and private primary and post-primary schools
- Facilitated sessions to the service users of St. John of God’s Community Service.
- Fully accredited member of both IACP and ACI.
- Chair at the Education and Training Committee
